Biography

Chantel Carr is an Associate Research Fellow and PhD Candidate in the School of Geography and Sustainable Communities, University of Wollongong. She is currently working on an ARC project that looks at the governance of energy transitions in commercial office space. Chantel has also previously worked on the ARC Discovery project Making Less Space for Carbon, examining sustainability and everyday household life. Her PhD research has examined legacies of resourcefulness and material skill in industrial cities, within the context of a climate changing future. Chantel trained and worked as an architect prior to undertaking her PhD, and holds postgraduate qualifications in planning. She has taught across subjects in design, environmental control and heritage.
