Dr Georgios Kokogiannakis
Georgios’ research studies at the University of Strathclyde in the UK were concerned with the integration of dynamic whole building simulation programs in the European regulations for the energy performance of buildings (e.g. EPBD). In addition and as part of his professional activities, he has worked in a range of research & consultancy projects for assessing the energy and environmental performance of buildings through dynamic whole building simulation. Georgios worked as an Assistant Professor for The University of Nottingham in China and within a research centre that is based at the first zero carbon building of China (the CSET building in Ningbo, China). Over the five years that he spent in China he was co-investigator of several funded research projects and he was also the Chief Investigator of research projects that aimed to deliver accurate building simulation models for assessing the energy performance of different types of green roofs and green living walls.
