Biography

Larissa investigates the relationship between household energy consumption, health and (financial) wellbeing, and use of new technologies. Larissa’s current research projects include the Smart Home Control project (trial of off-the-shelf smart home devices), the Heatwaves, Homes & Health project (impacts of electricity costs/messaging on heatwave coping strategies), and the Hidden Energy Poverty project (case studies of under-use of energy and water in Victorian households). Larissa’s research is informed by her background in energy efficiency programs, community development and medical research.
